Would You Use a Tennis Racket to Drain Pasta?
You could…but it would be unnecessarily difficult. Yet that’s what many people do when they choose to store their passwords in a system that is not meant as a password manager.
If you store passwords in any of the following…
- a file labeled passwords on your desktop
- an excel file on your computer
- a folder in your email account
- post it notes by your computer
…your password is at risk of being compromised. Read the rest of this entry →

As technology matures, it always yields better results. Proceeding on similar lines, since the featured web browser from Google, Chrome is still currently in beta form.
You’ll find precious little news on just why Google believes the technology incorporated in Chrome is advancement on the existing web browsers, notably Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and the Mozilla’s Firefox!
There are lot many reasons that may be listed out but here are my Top 10 Reasons to try Google Chrome includes:
- Open source
I know it sounds strange, and Firefox is open source too, but as a matter of fact, Internet Explorer isn’t! If you don’t know why open source can be a good thing, then you’d better read this…
- Crash control
Every tab the user opens, runs independently in the browser, consequently if any application crashes it doesn’t take anything else down with it.
So it can be considered to be highly stable, on the other hand I have personally experienced Firefox crashing totally many a times, which is quite annoying! Read the rest of this entry →

There are many factors that are decisive in picking the right PCI Graphics Card. On one hand, you have video output incorporated into the motherboard itself, eliminating the need for a separate graphics card entirely.
On the other hand you have companies trying to persuade you to use multiple cards on the same PC.
Now when the discussion comes to purchasing PCI Graphics Card, the most important aspect is the purpose of usage.
Decisive factors
The graphic card, also called a video card, is primarily responsible for handling the calculations necessary to determine where and when pixels will fire and in what color, which is critical in any high end graphics application like gaming.
So the next question would obviously be that with so many different options out there, how do you choose the right card for you? Read the rest of this entry →

Google Chrome has quickly become one of our favorite browsers occupying 1% market share on the very first day, but don’t be overwhelmed with this fact as there are many potential threats involved with the beta version currently.
Although the hot and happening web-browser from Google has barely entered the world, security researchers have been quick enough to find flaws in Chrome, which was supposed to be Google’s shiny foray into the browser market.
Before proceeding with the discussion, you can download the Google chrome beta version here & check it out yourself! Read the rest of this entry →

If you are also sick and tired of all this browser security stuff, and browsing restrictions at the work place then here’s some good news for you… In fact not “SOME”, but rather ‘PLENTY’ of good news for you
Internet censoring is now prevalent almost everywhere and even in my office sites like Orkut are blocked.
Some Countries routinely block many websites and interestingly entire blogger.com, orkut and other similar sites are usually banned in office throughout the world. No wonder many of us are looking for ways of accessing blocked websites.
A free web proxy is basically something to get around school/work filters to sites like Myspace and Bebo. Web proxies are also used to stay safe and hide your identity on the net. Read the rest of this entry →

Acer is a brand that is well known under many electronic commodities including laptops, cellphones, monitors etc. I have tried several of their gadgets and have become a big Acer fan and my review today revolves around that.

Recently I came across a recording of an interesting program on the TV broadcasted in the UK, which featured some highly qualified techies who explained the usability, quality and difference of other parameters between the CRT and flat-screens (of all types).
The answer basically was that CRTs are much cheaper and a good CRT has easily twice as better picture quality compared to a top range flat-screen costing several times more in price.
I have closely analyzed 5 CRT’s, and I find the IBM one the best for image quality. The cheapest being Daewoo is also good enough as long as it’s calibrated, but you still obviously see a big difference between the two. Read the rest of this entry →

Bluetooth technology offers three different types of defined ranges, based on output ranges.
- Class 1 devices are the most powerful, as they can have up to 100 mW of power, with a regular antenna giving them a range of around 130 - 330 feet.
- Class 2 devices are lower power, offering up to 2.5 mW of power. A regular antenna will give them a range of around 50 - 100 feet.
- Class 3 devices use even less power, up to 1 mW of power to be exact. With a regular antenna, they will have a range of around 16 - 33 feet.
Even though you may not realize it, Bluetooth wireless technology has never been intended for anything other than short distance types of communication. With Bluetooth wireless, the short range is actually a benefit. Read the rest of this entry →
