Have 4G Networks Really Been Created?
Talk of 4G networks has been heard for a while, and like the upgrade from 2G to 3G networks, promises to bring a whole host of new features. Recently, one of the major cell phone network companies-T-Mobile, has announced the launch of the countries largest 4G network, but is it really?
The fact is that no one currently has a nationwide 4G network, despite claiming that they do. Like all previous networking standards, the 4G network standard has been decided on an international level by a body called the International Telecommunication Union. This body has discussed, in conjunction with major carriers and technology developers the requirements and standards that a 4G device or network should meet.
Currently, even the fastest of the networks in operation does not meet the 4G standard, and that includes the network labeled as 4G by T-Mobile.
