Hardware manufacturers saw a big increase in demand with their products. Computers became an essential commodity among households. But the 1st decade in the 21st century introduced new technologies that replaced the existing.
Among these are massive hard drives, more capable memory, faster processors, optical mice, USB flash drives, etc. There’s new and better hardware almost every month. In fact, the most recent innovation that changed our concept of a computer is the LCD screen monitor.
To keep up with the trend, consumers are often compelled to replace their old units with the new ones. The LCD monitor replaced the cathode ray tube monitor. So where do the old ones go if not in the household?
