When a Computer Part Breaks-Should you Replace it?
The unfortunate truth is that no computer will last forever, and over time the parts inside it start to break down. The question is what should you do with an otherwise working machine that has a part that has failed?
Of the parts inside a computer, the hard drive is one of the more common failures. This is because the hard drive has moving parts, and these wear out.
Eventually it will lead to the disc crashing, and may lead to the total loss of all of the data on your machine. The graphics card too is prone to early failure and there are host of other things that could go wrong.
First you have work out what has failed. In some case it may be clearly obvious, and in others it may not. Once you know what is damaged, should you replace it? You would need to look at several factors before deciding that your computer is worth repairing.
