When I bought the Samsung 52-inch LCD HDTV, I was very excited as well as apprehensive. I had heard a lot about it but wanted to confirm whether all of it was true.

But after a month I can say that I am very happy with its performance. It is a very high-quality LCD TV. It has a very nice picture quality and perfect resolution to suit your eyes.

Its dynamic contrast ratio is 70,000:1 which makes the user enjoy the sharpest details and vibrant colors.

This also results in more realistic images. It has a 6 millisecond response time, making the viewing a smooth experience.

This also eliminates any blurring of the images if you are watching action-filled and sports programs. This LCD TV is compatible with any of the electronics you have because of its excellent networking and connectivity. It has one USB port and four HDMI 1.3 ports with Consumer Electric Control.

What impressed me most is the HDTV’s design. Samsung has provided the special Touch of Color design which offers a hint of red translucent color at the edges.

This provides the TV with a very fashionable and cool look. In addition, the TV is Energy Star compliant which gives it an edge over others as it helps the consumer save on the electricity bill.

It has an in-built digital tuner and therefore no external box is required. It also has two 10-watt audio speakers.

Its SRS TruSurround HD helps create a feature-rich surround sound experience from two speakers complete with rich bass, clear dialog, and high frequency detail.

AnyNet + allows the TV remote to be operated at one touch of a button. The Game mode of the TV enhances the dark areas, sharpens the picture, speeds up the image processing and improves the sound quality of the games.

All in all, Samsung LN52B550 52-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV is a good buy.

Super resolution and good make LCD monitors and that is why a number of citizens say it is superior to the additional kinds of monitors.

An LCD monitor because of its liquid crystal display can produce 16.7 million colors. This just means that still the minimum hues can still be dotted.

LCD monitors are building in a smooth way so that it will fit to your not-so big table. Recently I came across a recording of an interesting program on the TV broadcasted in the UK, which featured some highly qualified techies who explained the usability, quality and difference of other parameters between the CRT and flat-screens (of all types).

The answer basically was that CRTs are much cheaper and a good CRT has easily twice as better picture quality compared to a top range flat-screen costing several times more in price.

I have closely analyzed 5 CRT’s, and I find the IBM one the best for image quality. The cheapest being Daewoo is also good enough as long as it’s calibrated, but you still obviously see a big difference between the two. Read the rest of this entry →
