  1. The File Menu Access:
  2. The windows vista might not boast of a file menu in certain applications for instance windows explorer. To gain access temporarily uses the ALT key.

    To permanently allow it open Windows Explorer - go to Organize – the Folder and Search Options - Click on vision tab - make sure to check the box for all time give you an idea about menus.

  3. The Right Click Menu - More Options:
  4. To get instant access with any file and folder right clicking is the fastest option. Vista right clicking menu has many other hidden options. Use SHIFT while right clicking to get the extra options.

  5. The start menu Customization
  6. To modify OR insert/remove the start menu items – You should Right click on the taskbar and desire properties.

    Choose the Start Menu tab and then click on modify button. To get rid of an item commencing the menu tick the box - (Do not exhibit this item) alongside the item, which you do not desire to show.

  7. Search Internet from within windows vista:
  8. In windows vista you can search the Internet from start menu itself. You can then click the Start button – you can enter the search keywords in the search field and click on search the Internet. The windows vista has Live Search as its search engine by default here and you know the reason why.

  9. The Power button on your computer Customization:
  10. You be able to alter the function of the power key on your computer. The Control Panel >> The System & Maintenance >> The Power Options >> Then Decide what the power button does.
